Project: Neon FM -Dance Radio- (Cancelled)
Responsibilities: Music Composition/2D Character Portraits/Game Design
Website: www.neonfm.com  Game Summary: Neon fm is a 5-panel arcade music/rhythm game featuring an original cabinet design and unique touch sensitive dance pads.  The game boasts a 40 track song list featuring international music sensations Rikki & Daz, Freezepop, and Bemani audio legend Thomas Howard Lichtenstein.   Our company (Pop'nKO Music & Entertainment) had successfully scored a contract with Betson Enterprises, the largest arcade distribution center of the United States.  We were set to go into full production in the summer of 2005 until we were dropped in favor of a more lucrative contract with Konami of Japan.   Since then, the game has become an underground legend in the dance game community, with a PC beta getting leaked to positive reviews worldwide.

Project: 1D10 (Cancelled)
Responsibilities: Project Lead, Art/Animation, Game Design
Website: www.1d10.com Game Summary: Built on the MUGEN engine, 1D10 is a 2D fighting game similar in style to Capcom's Street Fighter series.  The game features 10 playable characters, each with a unique fighting style, weapons, and special maneuvers with which they use to defeat their opponent.  Up to four players can battle at once in a multi player rumble in addition to the more traditional one on one style of fighting.  The project was cut short at the half way point, but not before we were able to demo it successfully at Otakon in the summer of 2006.   That summer we demoed it twice, both to fighting game enthusiasts who gave it an overall good review for blending pop culture humor with a well balanced fighting system.  The project was eventually canceled when the staff members went their separate ways after college.

Project: O2Jam (Completed)
Responsibilities: Music Composition
Website: www.o2jam.com Game Summary: O2Jam is an online 7-key music based computer game encompassing the online gaming community.  Customizable characters and online shops serve the social side of O2Jam's gaming experience while competitive spirit runs free in he battle rooms.  These multi player battles allow for up to 8 players to play the same song at the same time, with score dictating the victor.  Working similarly to Konami's Beatmania IIDX series, O2Jam uses scrolling logos to alert the player as to when to press keys that coordinate with the graphics on screen.  My work with O2Media (the Korean company behind O2Jam) was limited to the Malaysian branch for the majority of my time with them.  I was contracted by their music directors to compose 8 songs for use in the game in all of their departments.

Project: Return Of The Space Cowboy (Completed)
Responsibilities: Art, Game Design, Music Composition, Coding
Download Now!  Game Summary: Return Of The Space Cowboy is a top down shooter and my first attempt at making a video game by myself.  The title features a renegade youth who must save his girlfriend from an evil alien race of space pirates who have captured her in his absence.  The Space Cowboy fights through 10 alien worlds to track down his lost love and eventually come face to face with the villainous Space Pirate boss, Willoughby.  I was able to successfully complete this game in 3 weeks from concept to completion.  The story behind this game was inspired by the David Morales club mix of Jamiroquai's hit song "Space Cowboy."  With this in mind, I was able to recreate many of Jamiroquai's hit songs in a retro 8-bit style to fit the intergalactic theme of the game and its stages.  This project was also my first attempt at simplistic pixel art since most of my previous work was hand drawn.  The project was a success and can be downloaded at the link above.

Project: Angry Video Game Nerd's Angry Video Game (Completed)
Responsibilities: Art, Game Design, Music Composition, Coding
Download Now!  Game Summary: Internet celebrity James Rolfe is best known as the retro game review master- the Angry Video Game Nerd.  His home at ScrewAttack.com has served him an assortment of online fans who religiously watch his weekly reviews of video game entertainment of the past.  I contacted James via e-mail in regards to creating this game to which he replied enthusiastically, giving me permission and media to help me along.  By the end of 14 days, I had successfully completed the title in a old school Nintendo style.  Limiting myself to 16 colors, 4 channels of sound and 456 by 440 resolution, I was able to accurately recreate the NES experience and appeal to the Nerd's internet fan base.  The game features classic 2D side scrolling action with audio commentary from James mocking the stages and enemies as you go, referencing his video reviews.  The game was released quietly to the community from Jame's website on February 25th 2008.  The game has since become a fan favorite and cult classic, receiving high reviews from various independent game review sites across the globe in multiple languages.

Project: Mega Man 2 HD Remix (In Production)
Responsibilities: Art/Animation, Music Composition, Coding
Game Summary: With my roots deep in video game history, I thought a fun side project would be to recreate my favorite title of all time; Capcom's Mega Man 2.  I started the project from scratch and have since completed roughly 30% including all music and sound effects.  All of the character and enemy art is hand drawn and colored in Photoshop before being cleaned up, resized, and coded into objects for the game.  This has been a fun project and I look forward to completing it.

Project: Return Of The Space Cowboy 2 -The Space Cowboy Returns-
(Completed)
Responsibilities: Art/Animation, Music Composition, Coding
Download Now!   Game Summary: Built as a follow up to my first "on my own" production, Return Of The Space Cowboy, this sequel contains higher quality pixel art, smoother animations, better background art, and an entirely original soundtrack.  The game play will feature 2 player co-op adventures, larger stages to explore, and some stages containing a "choose your own path" theme, making each game play experience a little different.  Much like the first game, this sequel is a top-down shooting experience where you take control of either Royal Jackson or Z-Man as you maneuver around enemy fire and complete each level.  While this title doesn't deliver anything new in the ways of it's genre, it does bring an old-school style of fun that people of all ages can enjoy.

Project: Key Velocity (Demo Completed)
Responsibilities: Art/Animation, Music Composition/Editing Coding
Game Summary:  Key Velocity is a PC game that successfully combines the fun of rhythm and music games with the educational value of learning to type.  The demo features only 3 songs that are non- licensed so that the product will be professionally ready for shopping around to those interested in picking up a piece of the project.  The game's mass market appeal to parents and schools give the profit margin for the title immense room for growth.  In the end, Key Velocity will be an excellent addition to any parent's PC game library with both education and fun in mind for the player.  If you are interested in receiving the demo for Key Velocity, contact me via e-mail and we can set something up.  I am hesitant to just release the demo for free download to those who have no intentions of doing business, but if you are seriously interested in the potential this product can bring, contact me as soon as you are able.

Project: Super Eurojet (Completed)
Responsibilities: Art/Animation, Audio Editing, Coding
Download Now!   Game Summary:  Super Eurojet is a game that was created from concept to completion in 72 hours as part of an online competition for independent game makers.  The game play is very simple and stands as a representative of the 'shmup' series of aviation games from the late 1980's and early 1990's.  Most comparable to R-Type or Gradius, Super Eurojet is a fast paced flying game where the player must avoid enemy fire while dealing out a spray of machine gun bullets to destroy the villainous ships.  There are a few weapon upgrades throughout the game and 3 unique stages to blow through and conquer.  The soundtrack to the game is unlicensed Super Eurobeat music added to assist in the "hyper fast" feel of the game play.  The art direction for this title is different than all of my previous work as it holds no hand drawn art.  All the ships and stages were designed with only shapes in Photoshop and given various gradients to support a 3D feel.  This is a style I hope to use again in a future title.

Project: Georgie George & The Great Quack Machine (Completed)
Responsibilities: Art/Animation, Audio Editing, Coding
Download Now!   Game Summary:  This platform/puzzle title was created in under a week with the assistance of my room mate, George.  I came up with the idea of activating a machine via placement of gears across the screen and needed a face to go with the title character.  George is now cemented in gaming history as the title protagonist in a game riddled with mechanical structures and bats.  The object of the entire game is to rid the world of bats that have already caused trouble by ridding the world of ducks.  For one reason or another, I decided that bats hate ducks quacking, so the entire story and game play is based around this fictional fact.  Anyways, to summarize, you have to destroy bats by activating the great quack machines in each of the levels, and you do this by creating a series of gears to connect the 2 contraptions.  As a download note- the game size is large due to the large picture files encased in the exe, so be patient as it downloads.
