Return of the Space Cowboy (PC based top-down arcade style shooter)

  • Complete development cycle from concept to completion in 3 weeks.
  • Composed and produced 14 audio tracks for in-game background music.  Tracks created as 8-bit covers of popular Jamiroquai songs.
  • Designed, created and animated full color 2D sprites and backgrounds for use in game.
  • Designed AI within GML constraints to provide NPC (enemy and teammate) behavior.
  • Designed animated game play arenas for nine levels (each containing 5 sub-stages).
  • Utilized user feedback/play testing to improve game play experience.
  • Available online for free download.

 

The Angry Video Game Nerd’s Angry Video Game (PC based 2D side scrolling platformer)

  • Complete development cycle from concept to completion in 2 weeks.
  • Composed and produced 12 original audio tracks for in-game background music. 
  • Cut and edited together in-game audio commentary provided by internet celebrity James Rolfe (The Angry Video Game Nerd).  Each commentary track was triggered by in game events.
  • Designed, created and animated full color 2D sprites and backgrounds for use in game.
  • Designed movement routines for 26 unique enemies and bosses.
  • Designed 8 stages using various modes of game play (including platforming and shoot ‘em up).
  • Utilized user feedback/play testing to improve game play experience.

Music composer and soundtrack organizer

  • Wrote the entire soundtrack for the currently in-production game project “TPM.”
  • Worked in collaboration with Hollywood musician Martin Blasick to direct and compose the soundtrack for “1D10.”
  • Sequenced and engineered an independent album for release by Flavor Grenade Studios that ships early next year.

  •     Hand drew all sprites in “1D10.”

O2Jam online video game soundtrack artist

  • Wrote electronic dance music for multiple genres (club, disco, funk, techno, trance).
  • Responsible for keeping within the constraints of the game’s library of music (song length, genres, tempo).
  • Composed “Zap”, a song popular in the community which stayed in game’s top 10 “most played” list for 3+ months.

Description of responsibilities: 

Music supervisor, composer & audio engineer

  • Responsible for the selection and editing of music tracks for use in game.
  • Wrote and recorded 1/4 of the music for use in game.
  • Mixed together non-stop edits for challenge course stages.
  • Composed production music for game menus.
Concept artist, lead character artist
  • Designed menus and game play screens.
  • Produced hand-drawn 2D characterizations of song list’s musicians.
